McKnights On the Move: Study Abroad in Prague
For the first time in program history, 30 scholars traveled to Prague, Czech Republic for the inaugural McKnight study abroad trip. Students spent 10 days, May 23rd– 30th, learning the historical, economical and industrial history of the Czech Republic. Tours included Moser glasswork company, Škoda auto car company, the Kutná Hora coin minting press, a bone church, the Ceský Krumlov Castle as well as many other historical and economically important sites in the Czech Republic. Students also took a day trip to Poland and visited Auschwitz where they saw first hand the devastating impact of World War 2. Scholars were also given the flexibility to travel before or after the scheduled trip. Some of these trips included Ireland, Spain, France, England and Berlin.
